Hot Spiced Tonic


Serves 8

What you'll need:

2 pc star anise

6 allspice berries

3 pc cloves

1 cinnamon stick

16 oz dark berry or grape juice

2 strips of orange peel

2 cans Blueberry & Ginger Spare Tonic

1 tablespoon honey

6 oz dark rum (optional)


What to do:

  • In a medium pot, gently toast the spices until fragrant.

  • Add the juice and orange peel and bring to a simmer.

  • Stir in the Blueberry & Ginger Spare Tonic, honey and rum (if using) and remove from the heat.

  • Serve warm in mugs.
