The Kaye Brothers

Co-founders Adam and Jeremy Kaye grew up in a family of culinary entrepreneurs — a legacy that goes back at least four generations. The Spare Food Co. was born from a deep social consciousness formed over their youth in South Africa, a shared passion for global culture, and a genetic love of good food.

From helping create a new model for sustainability and environmental stewardship at Patagonia, to leading global initiatives for mission-driven organizations, Jeremy has proved time and again that business can be a powerful force for good in the world. He brings this conviction to his vision for The Spare Food Co. where big ideas meet simple actions to catalyze real change.

Adam Kaye

Over two decades as chef and culinary director at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, a restaurant at the forefront of the next food movement, sited on a working farm, Adam developed a unique understanding of the ways we can affect systemic change in our food system. His chef-driven culinary approach is the special sauce that drives the creation of new food solutions that live at the intersection of real ingredients, better agricultural practices, and human and environmental health.

While many are making great strides in reusing and redistributing food waste, few are focused on reducing the amount of waste we create in the first place.
